I'm a Meso-Endo WHAT??

Ha, ok...I've taken the plunge to get back into form. The trainer hired a trainer. Why? Well, there is nothing more motivating than paying someone to tell you what to do (despite this psychological phenomenon, it's much easier to do, yet more difficult to justify planned failures as we are very good at doing to ourselves). Ahem...here we go. I have 30 lbs to go (well 28 since thursday actually!)

Thanks to Andrew, founder of Living Proof Fitness, I have decided to become living proof of what I preach to my clients. Most of you who know me can attest I'm pretty motivated to get my workouts and activities in - but that I have no willpower when it comes to food, and am suseptible to crashes in energy and drive. I'm working on the nutrition peice to work with my current activity schedule.

The first step was to complete a detailed personal history and take some (mmm, alarming) photos of my near naked body. What fun! Based on my results (shocker here) - I'm a Meso/Endo morph which means my body type is prone to gaining body fat, but I'm also very muscular and gain muscle easy (yep!)It also means that my training should be fairly high intensity mixing cardio and strength (think circuits and exlosive movements or little rest between hard sets), food is frequent small and protein rich (low carb), being very careful to book-end workouts with calories to sustain and prevent a crash and binge.

See..I kind of knew this already but needed the structure and professional re-inforcement to make it happen - so here goes! The next 6-months Andrew...I'm yours!

Note - I am tacking thing through the holidays ON PURPOSE not to get behind and have to work harder in January for having less activity and more cheat foods to negotiate :)
