Bring that Ride - INSIDE (Ottawa Fit 2011)

There are plenty of good reasons to transition some of your cycling indoors in the early fall. I won't bore you with them. What I WILL comment on are reasons to get your butt out of bed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and take my Cycling Foundations I class this fall in the newly renovated studio @ Ottawa Fit in the heart of Wellington Village.

1) We're a lot nicer than a speeding mini-van pinching you off in the low-light hours of the morning
2) Overhead lights are rarely turned on to shade sleepy eyes from burning in their sockets (darkness is good indoors – not outdoors!!)
3) Whining and complaining is greeted with a sympathetic smile and interpreted as “need more challenge” dialogue.
4) The group really becomes family. Everyone cares, notices your absences.
5) Periodically we slip out after class for a plate of Bacon and Eggs or coffee
6) I am a self-proclaimed music junky. You will not hear top 40 in my classes...ever (unless you want, it IS all about YOU)
7) You get to hear weird and sometimes inspiring stories (ask me about working with the homeless)
8) I actually have bikes available this year! (My class capacity has increased by at least 5 bikes)
9) Its pretty cheap for what you get (prices set to cover studio rental and to justify my iTunes purchases)
10) 12-weeks, progressive, deliberate rides (not Drop-in style…everyone gets carried along)
11) Optional Lactate Threshold testing and cross-training consultations (included)
12) Not your typical ‘Spin’ Class…more a tailor-made indoor ride experience based on empirical evidence with some creativity and real-life experience thrown in

See what others are saying about this class (Link).

If this seems like your kind of thing, please email me directly to reserve a bike. There are only a few left - do not hesitate.

p.s. There are 2 follow-up 13-week sessions that follow CF I (base) that build on each other. The whole package is a carefully planned periodized program guaranteed to present you with fresh, ride ready legs in the spring. The same group usually carries on through the winter and early spring, so it's best to jump in now! A 10% discount is available for participants choosing to do both days. Most do both.
